who's next?

Not much happened today.

Two of my cousins left today to further their studies in the U.K. We went to the airport at around 5p.m. and were surprised to see the airport to be so crowded.

We talked, laughed and took pictures. Our movement was restricted since the place was packed with people. It felt like being in a sardine can, and we the humans are the sardines. I ran into quite a lot of people that I know; old friends, friends from MS and some relatives.

We were sure that the restaurant would be full at that time so we had our ‘sungkai’ down in the lobby. All my aunts that was there at that time brought something to eat; there were ‘karipap’, ‘pulut panggang’, fried noodles and sandwiches. It was fun though it was crowded.

Around 6.45p.m. It was time for them to leave. Hugs given, hands shook yet no tears were shed at that time. Maybe they were trying to tell the others that they are strong.

They went away and so were the others that were flying of today. Soon after, the lobby was almost empty, surprise, surprise. Since my dad was still hungry, we went to teguh raya area to have our dinner and shop for some things such as ‘tudung’ and ‘sinjang’ and other stuff. My sis wanted to find some souvenirs to give to her tutor so the shopping goes on till 10p.m. we found some interesting stuff so we bought that instead of the things we were looking for.

From then till now, there’s not much for me to say, since there was not much done. So ja~

p/s: ‘Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann’ is awesome. It’s an anime about robots and stuff. I managed to watch all 27 episodes in 3 days I think, quite slow but still, this anime rocks. Now I don’t know what else to do this holiday. 2 animes watched, 5 mangas read so that’s all. Maybe I should start doing my revision.

Devastated

I think that's how i'm feeling right now, right after terawih prayer.

Somehow, there's a chance that i wouldn't be sending the scholars off tomorrow, due to the first day of fasting.

Very, very sad. I didn't feel that way last time during the farewell party and when i was sending off the 20+ scholars. Maybe it's the fact that i'm quite (if not very) close to the scholars tomorrow, Mujijah and Amalina.

Five and a half years, since form 1 i've known them. The same number of years for me to be in the same class as Mujijah. As for Mai, if i remember well, she was one of the first few girls that i talked to when i first enter my form 1N class.

I don't know what else to say. I guess i am sad after all, since most of my close friends (ex-3N and favessians) went/are going off.

If you're reading this, Mai and Mujijah, i'm sorry for everything that i've done wrong to you, you guys are and will always be, great, and that goes to all the PU1 2008 scholars.

That's all. Happy fasting. Ja~

Goodbye to all

This, I can say is the saddest week for the PU1 students. This will be a week full of tears from them. Yes, most of the scholars will be leaving this week.

The sadness began when we discovered who the scholars are. On the day they received the news, they were again, in tears, both joy and sadness.

Then there was the farewell party held at the Holiday Lodge in Jerudong on the 23rd (last Saturday). It was a great night filled with great performances and everyone was enjoying themselves, big hand to the organisers, Sarah and Izzy. The party ended with everyone apologising, by the scholars and to the scholars. Tears roll down their cheeks and hugs were given to one other.

Finally, the day of leaving came. It was on the 26th August (yesterday). Sure we were noisy, lots of pictures was taken. We tried to spend as much time as possible with the scholars just before they fly off. Some would laugh, some would shout, just to cover up their true feelings. As for me, I tried to let off some tears but I guess my manly ego wouldn’t let me. Hugs and tears. We sang the school song for the last time and that was the happiest moment and when they were called upon, the air was again filled with sobs and sadness and grief, the pain of letting go was just too much.

How I wish I can go to every days they leave but transportation problem prevent me to do so. I really want to go and sent off all my close friends, especially the favessians, I know I’m not really that bonded with all of you but being in the same class before, makes us family. If I can’t send you off, I would like to apologise wholeheartedly. All I can do is wish you guys all the best in UK and when you return next time, maybe we all should have a small reunion.

I don’t know why, but when everyone cried before, I felt nothing but now when I’m typing this out, I can feel the sadness, the emptiness, the sense of loss as if something went missing and when I think hard, I was the loss of my friends. After reading the UIC’s blog, I now can feel the pain. Goddamnit.

Party Till Dawn

Literally.

The farewell party may have ended for days but the memories remain. Sure I took a lot of pictures but it’s nothing compared to the picture I have in my mind. In fact, the pictures are priceless.

As promised, it was the all black clothes with purple tie. Everyone was as handsome and beautiful as they can be, in fact never better. Everyone who’s everyone came, even them from MD and PTE that transferred from MS (well, not really everyone).

The party begins with a performance by the UIC members, mainly Najmi, Ian, Naqiu, Afiq and Bokh. They sang ‘All These Things That I Have Done’ by “The Killers”. They did a spectacular performance. This was followed by the Doa by our very own Hafiz Alidi.

The party went on with lots of great performance, great food and great participation by everyone. The AV presentation was great. Some performances showed that love was in the air, mainly performances by Haziq and Chin Khai.

The greatest performance of the night would have to be when all the UICs were called on stage to sing a ‘Peterpan’ song together. I would have joined them but my shoes betrayed me at the last minute so I ran to my room and changed into my slippers. By the time I went down, they were almost done with the singing. Oh well~

The last AV presentation put tears in everyone (not really). I think it was great that they ended the party with everyone apologising with each other, mainly to the scholars. It was so full of hugs and tears. How I wish that the night would not end. It was great.

I don’t think there would be any other events that I participated can beat the sadness of the night (except for the last day of the Tattoo choir 2006 but not this sad). I should have cried but over who? I guess over losing my friends.

Goodbye to you all and best of luck in UK. Hope to see you guys again soon and if possible, to join you all in UK.

Actually, I’m quite sad that I didn’t get to send off Nash, the godfather when he went back home. I watched the video that Ramzul took when they were sending him off. The final salutation. Maybe you would like to join us this end of year huh Nash? Have a great time in JIS aytz?

So that’s all I guess, don’t want to make this post to be too sad. Ja~

p/s: I’ll be posting the pictures next time aytz? Sorry Qal.
